Wes Schulz

Wes was born and raised here in Lancaster, PA.  He began drawing Ninja Turtles in kindergarten and hasn’t stopped drawing since. His father had a small collection of Frank Frazetta, Salvador Dali, and MC Escher art books which had a huge impact on him at a young age. Cartoons, comic books, video games, action figures, and sci-fi movies also pushed Wes down a path towards animation or illustration. During his junior and senior year in high school he had a handful of friends paying him to design tattoos that they would end up getting at local shops, Transcending Flesh and Sissy’s in Manheim. After getting tattooed himself, collecting tattoo magazines, and stumbling upon Grime’s old website Wes fell in love with tattoo art.  

Wes Graduated from Hempfield High School in 2003. He began tattooing in 2005. In 2008 he opened Dreams Collide Tattoo on South Prince Street here in Lancaster.
Wes has had the privilege of working with the best Lancaster artists and local favorites like Rod Graybill, Joe Martin, Sam Warren, Brian Via, Sol Amstutz, Vinny Romanelli, Mike Kelly, Jazmin Santiago and many more. All of whom he gives credit for helping push Dreams Collide forward and making it what it is today.

Wes and his wife Valerie, along with their 3 daughters reside in east Lancaster on the Conestoga River.
